Studies
Training and practical education in the field of cybersecurity
The Department of Telecommunications organizes training and practical hands-on workshops both for laymen and experts focused on cyber security. These are usually training courses focused on modern cryptography, stress testing or ethical hacking, as well as narrowly specialized courses focused on specific applications (e.g. cybersecurity in energy, industry or mobile networks). We have developed and use the BUTCA (Brno University of Technology Cyber Arena) for cyber security training for different levels of education.
Training and practical education in network technologies
We offer Cisco Academy courses www.netacad.com to the public. These courses deal with the theory of network communication, management of network elements and traffic optimization. The courses cover the basic level of Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and the advanced level of Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP). We also offer a follow-up course on security. The courses are taught in a specialized laboratory with a large number of Cisco devices that allow to build an own learning network for each student. In addition to Cisco Academy courses, we also offer Mikrotik Academy training.
Topics of student projects
We would like to welcome topics for diploma or bachelor theses from your company. You will also have the opportunity to select suitable candidates for job positions in your company.

Lectures and seminars by experts from practice are always welcome with us. Students will gain new information and insight into the presented issues.
Conferences for students
Our institute organizes or co-organizes conferences for students and also high school students in order to raise awareness of technology. If you are interested, we can plan and organize a conference together with you. We will be happy if you support us in this effort.
Support of the teaching process
Our graduates have in the long term demonstrated very good knowledge in the field. Of course, this cannot be done without a quality educational process and teaching in laboratories. Lectures in selected professional subjects or support in acquiring unique equipment and technologies for laboratories is another possible area of cooperation.
