Participants explore data sovereignty and data flows in the EU, personal and non-personal data, electronic documents and trust services, as well as the legal aspects of cybercrime and cross-border investigations. Through practical examples and case studies, the course addresses key frameworks such as the Data Act, Data Governance Act, GDPR, and Budapest Convention, helping participants understand how to securely manage data, electronic documents, and digital evidence while navigating complex legal and jurisdictional requirements.

About the microcredential
The microcredential was developed within the Digital4Security project, funded by the Digital Europe Programme (DIGITAL). Complementing the project's Master's programmes and aligned with the European Cybersecurity Skills Framework (ECSF), it offers flexible, industry-driven learning that enables professionals to gain job-ready cybersecurity skills through self-paced online study with optional live sessions.
