IoT Tester

Portable device capable of analyzing radio conditions and available communication technologies within the 5G-IoT ecosystem.


The IoT Tester is used to quickly verify the availability and quality of 5G-IoT mobile services in locations where the deployment of smart electricity meters, water meters, gas meters, or other systems requiring IoT connectivity is planned.

The measured data is displayed in an easy-to-understand format on the built-in color display. The data is also recorded on the integrated SD card for later, more detailed analysis.


 

IoT Tester offers

Easily check radio conditions and available communication technologies within 5G-IoT mobile networks (LTE Cat-M, NB-IoT, or RedCap). Thanks to its large built-in battery, the device can operate for up to 40 hours without recharging, making it suitable for week-long operation.


The tester also offers a wide range of parameter settings for creating test scenarios tailored to individual customer requirements. Another major advantage is the system’s modularity, which includes interchangeable communication module cards that enable the implementation of new communication standards. Of course, the device’s software can also be updated via USB or a remote OTA (Over The Air) server.

Key features:

  • Measurement and verification of parameters for 5G IoT technologies (NB-IoT, LTE Cat-M, and RedCap), including parameters such as signal strength and signal-to-noise ratio.
  • Determination of 5G IoT service availability in a given location, i.e., analysis of available telecommunications operators, technologies, and frequency bands.
  • Instant display of measurement results on a color screen.
  • Ability to perform detailed analysis of measured values from data stored on an SD card.
  • Large Li-Po battery with sufficient capacity for one week of operation in 8-hour shifts.
  • Support for OTA updates via 5G IoT communication technologies.
  • Option to connect your own external antenna for your specific application (SMA connector).
  • Delayed start function for measurements in enclosed spaces (e.g., electrical switchgear).

User Interface

The intuitive user interface is divided into several menus that allow for detailed configuration of the measuring device and the tests being performed. For less technically savvy users, all measurement results are accompanied by color-coded bar graphs indicating radio conditions, eliminating the need for knowledge of precise technical specifications. For more detailed analysis, the complete results of each measurement are recorded to an SD card as a CSV file.
